Welcome

  • Saddle Brook Middle/High School offers a host of opportunities for students to explore interests in academics, athletics, and the arts. We strive to provide unique educational experiences for both our middle and high school students. We embrace having grades seven through twelve under one roof to provide continuity in education and opportunities for our high school students to take on leadership roles in mentoring younger peers.

Curriculum and instruction is continually monitored and revised. We are pleased to announce the launch of our MS/HS STEM Academy.  Our goal is to provide students with opportunities to explore 21st Century careers in a learning environment that promotes discovery, collaboration, and problem-solving. The STEM Academy features five pathways: Engineering, Robotics, Fabrication & Design, Biomedical Sciences, and Commercial Photography. The plan is for the pathways to culminate with opportunities for college credit and/or field experiences through Option II.  The STEM Academy begins in our Middle School with 7th Grade Computers and 8th grade Introduction to STEM courses.

We continue to expand programs for our Middle School by adding Honors World History 8 and 7th grade Italian. For High School, new courses are available in Honors Calculus, Commercial Photography, and Elements/Principles of Art. Efforts are in place to continue improving student participation and performance on the ACT and SATs.

The school year launches with our 7th grade orientation hosted prior to opening day to welcome our new class to the MS/HS. The event is part of our efforts to improve school climate, which includes encouraging students to get connected with school by participating in athletics and extracurricular activities. Saddle Brook MS/HS provides students with opportunities to enhance their education by joining clubs related to community service, the arts, and recreation. Many of these activities, including the Environmental Club, Marching Band, and Musical Theater, encourage participation from grades 7 – 12.

I would like to thank our faculty and leadership team for their dedication to improving our programs. We are excited for these changes as our goal is to provide our students with a competitive edge by attending Saddle Brook MS/HS.

    Sincerely,
